Provide custom deployable communications worldwide for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Vice Chairman and staff personnel. Provide both secure and non-secure, voice, data and video teleconference (VTC) from various platforms and locations ensuring seamless continuous communications are always available for national security purposes. Provide secure voice/data connectivity on CJCS and VCJCS aircraft during worldwide airborne missions. Member is responsible for planning and coordinating with mission locations prior to principal party arrival. Gather available site location assets to use as either primary or backups to communication packages provided. Assist with both physical and logical security of data and communications equipment. Trouble shoot and resolve, computer, network, and voice communications issues quickly if outages occur. Formulate solutions to ensure outages do not disrupt communication again. Created after action report for missions completed ensuring lessons learned and points of contact for those locations were cataloged for future use. This action resulted in the expedited gathering of assets in previous areas of operation (AO), therefore saving the U.S. Government thousands of dollars by cutting the teams required advance time to new missions in those previously visited locations by several days to perform the same operation. Manage a million dollar fixed telecomm facility, in direct support of the CJCS/VCJCS for reliable C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence) reach back capability. Oversee system installation and maintenance of state of the art portable travel equipment valued at $2.1 million dollars. Expertly connected CJCS and POTUS via secure voice/video during overseas mission ensuring vital C4I intelligence was passed on a time sensitive target.
