Daily Duties at Mars Pet Care:

Managed (VARIED FROM 12 – 22) and maintained Independent pet distributors and Direct Retail accounts East $20M. Managed account trade spending and reconciled account promotional Billbacks. DEVELOP PLANS THAT DETAIL HOW DITRIBUTORS WILL MEET SALES GOALS OR QUOTAS. DIRECTS THE SELLING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE REGION, PREPARED MONTHLY REPORTS THAT PROVIDE SALES FIGURES TO CORPORATE LEADER TEAM, AS WELL AS REPORTS THAT FORECAST EXPECTED FUTURE SALES. ACHIEVES REGIONAL SALES OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES BY CONTRIBUTING REGIONAL SALES INFORMATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO STRATEGIC PLANS AND REVIEWS MEETS CUSTOMER SALES FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES BY FORECASTING REQUIREMENTS; PREPARING AN ANNUAL BUDGET; SCHEDULING EXPENDITURES; ANALYZING VARIANCES; INITIATING CORRECTIVE ACTIONS. ESTABLISHES SALES OBJECTIVES BY CREATING A SALES PLAN AND QUOTA FOR DISTRICTS IN SUPPORT OF NATIONAL OBJECTIVES DEVELOP SALES STRATEGIES VIA CUSTOMER PROMOTIONAL CALENDARS AND CUSTOMER CONTRACTS ALONG WITH NEW ITEM SHEETS THUS TO ALLOW SPACE IN SAID WAREHOUSE. PERFORMS SALES PRESENTATIONS, TO MATCH COMPANY’S PRODUCTS WITH IDENTIFIED NEEDS; DEMONSTRATE PRODUCTS AND REPRESENT THE COMPANY AT TRADE SHOWS. CONDUCT REGIONAL SALES MEETINGS FOR REPRESENTATIVES. PROACTIVELY ASSUME A ROLE IN DEVELOPING & EXECUTING STRATEGIES TO BUILD A PHENOMENAL SALES CULTURE AND PRODUCTIVE TEAM RECRUITING, SELECTING, ORIENTING, TRAINING, ASSIGNING, SCHEDULING, COACHING, COUNSELING, AND DISCIPLINING EMPLOYEES IN ASSIGNED DISTRICTS; COMMUNICATING JOB EXPECTATIONS; PLANNING, MONITORING, APPRAISING, AND REVIEWING JOB CONTRIBUTIONS RESOLVING PROBLEMS; BUILDING AND MAINTAINING RAPPORT WITH KEY CUSTOMERS; IDENTIFYING NEW CUSTOMER OPPORTUNITIES. DEVELOP STRONG TIES WITH KEY CUSTOMERS AND ACCOUNTS AND BE PROACTIVE IN UNDERSTANDING THE TRENDS AND ISSUES LIKELY TO IMPACT THE MARKET DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE SALES PROCESS AND ORGANIZATION TO INCREASE THE EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY OF TEAM. CONDUCT REGULAR SALES TEAM MEETINGS AND PIPELINE REVIEWS. IDENTIFY AND COORDINATE POTENTIAL BUSINESS WITH THE REPS & AREA DIRECTOR.)
