Daily Duties at Mars Pet Care:

260 Pet Supplies Plus, 12 Independent Pet Distributors and 4 Direct Pet Specialty Accounts North East Region. PSP IS A CORP AND FRANCHISE PET SUPLLIES STORE CHAIN OF WHICH THERE ARE TOTAL 260 STORES. THEIR CORP HQ IS IN MICIGAN. THEY HAVE 5 DISTRIBUTORS THAT THEY USE TO DELIVER TO ALL THEIR STORES. EACH DISTRIBUTOR MUST CARRY A FULL LINE OF MARS PRODUCTS FOR PSP AND THESE DISTRIBUTORS ALSO SELL TO OTHER INDEPENDENT PET STORES. THE OTHER 7 DISTRIBUTORS ARE INDEPENDENT PET DISTRIBUTORS. EACH DISTRIBUTOR ORGANIZATION HAS FIELD SALES PEOPLE THAT I WOULD TRAIN ON MARS PRODUCTS. WOULD SET UP QUARTERLY MEETING WITH THE FIELD SALES, AS I DID NOT CALL ON EACH OF THE DISTRIBUTOR ACCOUNTS DIRECTLY OTHER THAN THROUGH THE DISTRIBUTOR REP. WOULD ALSO ATTEND EACH OF THE DISTRIBUTORS SHOWS WHICH ARE HELD ONCE A YEAR TO ALSO MEET EACH OF THE RETAILERS WHO SELL MARS PRODUCTS AT STORE LEVEL. GSV $30M. Responsibilities: Developed and delivered promotional plan. REVIEWED LAST YEAR PROMOTIONAL CALENDAR, FIGURED OUT HOW MUCH FUNDING THERE WAS FROM TRADE SPEND REPORTS OR FROM THE TRADE DOLLAR FUNDING AND DEVELOPED A PLAN BY BRAND SEGMANT FOLLWING THE MARS FOCUS POINTS ALONG WITH NOT HAVING AN OVER SPEND ON THE CALENDAR PROMOTIONS), Plan, Execute PSP HQ 265 stores, GSV $12M, 12 Independent Pet Distributors and 5 Direct account Pet Specialty Retailers $18M o Pets Supplies Plus Exceeded Plan at 103% with a $1M reduction in trade spending – o Implemented end cap wire rack displays for 260 PSP stores resulting in $70K incremental GSV for Care and Treat Cat Section o Pedigree Adoption Weekend: 167 PSP stores hosted PAD, Results: • 242 New Pet Adoptions • $100K+ from donations to Pedigree Foundation • Care/Treats GSV 138% vs prior year • Pedigree Dry GSV 118% vs prior year • Pedigree foundation donated gift bags to new pet parents. • PSP incurred additional cost of donation cards to support program Managed 12 DISTRIBUTOR ACCOUNTS AND 5 DIRECT RETAIL ACCOUNTS) trade spend IS A BUDGET THAT IS GIVEN TO THE DISTRIBUTOR ACCOUNTS BASED ON A PERCENTAGE OF GROSS SALES VOLUME AND FAIR SHARE OF SIZE OF ACCOUNT, promotional events and deductions – Growth and development of 260 Pets Supplies Plus stores plus Independent Retail and Distributor accounts Sales vol $30M
