Daily Duties at Greater Alabama Council, Boy Scouts Of America:
My role was to ensure the capital campaign was on track and to advise the volunteers and staff were hitting their goals and objectives within the campaign. I advised a steering committee of ten volunteers (top commmittee leaders) and also advised three finance staff. We had regular meetings on the progress of the campaign with immediate action plan notes developed for follow up and execution. This kept the campaign on track and those involved well informed. In addition to the steering commmittee, their was a board phase committee of six volunteers and a community phase committee of twenty volunteers that we organized and gave compentent leadership to accomplishing our objectives. Served as a change agent in the organization to have everyone think outside the box and reach their full potential and not settle for past performances or expectations.
What they like about Greater Alabama Council, Boy Scouts Of America:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
