Daily Duties at Mc Kean Defense Group:

Provides lifecycle engineering support to Army Watercraft Systems fleet-wide. Produces technical reports for Engineering Change Proposals, Modification Work Orders, Technical Support Requests, and presentations for quarterly AWS Concurrence Boards. Develops documentation and training criteria to execute the asset management system, Item Unique Identification (IUID) for AWS. Managed projects onboard Army vessels located at ports including Yokohama, Japan; Tacoma, WA; and Port Hueneme, CA to collect equipment data, implement IUID tagging, and install new fire fighting equipment. Researches equipment requirements and pricing for IUID marking activities. Produces engineering research documents for various AWS IUID information and change proposals in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations, American Bureau of Shipping, and OSHA standards. Aids in the ground-up construction of the Watercraft Information Reporting System (WIRS) database website.
