Daily Duties at U.S. Army National Guard Bureau:
Serve as a Ground Safety Specialist for the Army National Guard responsible for administraion, implementation, and dissemination of programs and materials encompassing Base Operations, accident prevention, ground mishap statistics, compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, managing worker's compensation performance, and transportation compliance related to privately owned vehicles, privately owned vehicles, and motorcycles. Review accident investigation reports, evaluate high risk operations, and provide technical advice to various State Safety Managers and Specialists (over 300), recommending action and methods for correcting safety inadequacies. Maintain liaison with other military, federal, state, municipal and private agencies for exchanging information on a variety of safety related issues.
