Initiated Requests for Proposals for instructors and a pre-release coordinator; hired and supervised instructors and coordinator. Purchased teaching materials, supplies, and equipment. • Reviewed program outcomes and made changes as necessary. • Oversaw daily management of the self-supported facility greenhouse, which ran independent of state monies, earning its own funding through a public plant sale each spring. • Hired and supervised the institutional library staff, computer lab monitors, GED instructors, greenhouse staff, and education tutors. Purchased and maintained all library materials. • Served as a member of the Program Review Committee, meeting with other staff and individual inmates to determine goals for time spent incarcerated and to create pre- and post-release plans.
