Daily Duties at Dannon:

Management of Dannon's US Beverage and Cookie business for Walmart and Sam's Club. Responsibilities also included Canada and Mexico. Responsibilities included targeting well established international brands for new business opportunities within North America. This position was a newly created position to help initiate new business ventures from established businesses in international markets. This position was unique in that the position reported to multiple managers. I reported to the North Amarican General Manager for Dannon's cookie business as well as the General Manager for the Dannon beverage business. These businesses had very little market development and we wanted to use Walmart and Sam's Club to gain market share and brand presence. The job required learning business potential for growth and strategic direction. This role worked closely with brand managers to build product P&L's to drive business plans. This position required regular interface with Mexico, Canada and HQ personel in Paris, France. This position required a good understanding of supply chain logistics. The distribution methods were very diverse from business to business. I worked to identify and appoint a distributor for import from Mexico to high Hispanic stores. I changed from a Direct Store Delivery model to Walmart replensihment. This position also required a solid understanding of customer specific marketing programs. This position was responsible for developing and facilitating these events. This position also required strong influencing skills. This position was also responsible for managing the 3rd party sales responsibility from Coca-Cola representing the Evian business. This management was very similar to managing a food broker. A significant challenge was to gain Coca-Cola's share of attention. Ongoing management of superior execution against Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising and Pricing objectives was a must.
