Daily Duties at Broward General Medical Center (Broward Health Medical Center):
Perioperative nurse. Night shift charge for weekends, case assignments and circulating cases as needed, trauma triage for the operating room, charges, staffing, scheduling and case order for the next day, on call as needed/assigned.Shift charge nurse on 11pm to 7am in a fast paced environment with 11 operating rooms. I was trauma certified while employed at this facility and did ER trauma triage for the operating room. I was in charge of 2 RNs, 2 technician, 6 support staff and had 2 teams of on call personnel if needed. Responsible for the smooth operation of the operating room on my shift, case assignments, terminal cleaning of the operating rooms, scheduling cases for the shift and the next day. Ensuring that the next day schedule was update and that equipment was not overbooked and appropriate assignments for specialties.
