Daily Duties at Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc.:

Provide the design, implementation, maintenance, and repair for all legacy and new databases requested by the customer. Evaluate suggested improvements/projects for feasibility. Monitoring and improving database performance and capacity and planning for future expansion requirements. Implement standard OEM or tailored performance monitoring systems meeting customer mission requirements. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard databases. Develop implementation plans including cost and schedule. Implement and manage all database related projects for IT infrastructure, client initiatives, planned technology upgrades, configuration and optimization of all aspects of related database equipment and services for IT O&M. Serve as Tier 3 technical support providing in-depth analysis and resolution of database issues affecting clients. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented database systems and planned changes. Identify efficiencies within engineering processes and structures, and work with management to develop paths for implementation of the identified efficiencies. Code or consult on solution coding: C/C++, assembler, FORTRAN, COBOL, LISP, Java, and many others.
