Daily Duties at Columbia Physical Medicine:
Managed staff of nine, with three contracted physicians serving the needs of approximately 220 patient visits per week. Assured that Insurance claims were filed appropriately for reimbursement. MY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED STAFFING, ASSURING THAT PHYISICIAN CONTRACTS WERE MAINTAINED, PERSONNEL PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS WERE PERFORMED ON A TIMELY BASIS, OFFICE SET UP FOR MOST PROFICIENT OPERATION. (REGULATORY AGENCIES WERE LOOKING AT THE USE OF REGISTERED NURSES OR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES AS PHYSICAL THERAPIST AS NOT APPROPRIATE) WE WERE INVOLVED WITH PROVING THAT THIS WAS APPROPRIATE AS THIS WAS A SOFT TISSUE PAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICE. RESPONSIBLE FOR DAILY SCHEDULING OF NEW PATIENTS, ASSURING THAT THE PLAN OF TREATMENT WAS BEING COMPLETED.
