Daily Duties at Bakers Footwear Group:

Perform all functions of a Merchandise Planner, including: direct the development of the preseason plan, track actual performance against plan and report risks and opportunities, make markdown and buy recommendations to achieve turn goals, forecast and trend business to recognize potential asset redeployment and plan revisions, control Open To Buy, and lead monthly plan review meeting with upper management. Part on the Merchandise team that developed a monthly offensive promotional strategy. I was responsible for the execution and coordination with other merchandising teams and marketing to insure clear instructions were sent and pricing was executed. I was responsible for the execution and coordination with other merchandising teams and marketing to insure clear instructions were sent and pricing was executed. Coordinated with marketing on a weekly basis to insure the marketing material sent to the stores highlighted the correct promotions and listed all prices, styles and display locations in accordance with the merchandising teams direction. As the Senior Merchandise Planner I was responsible for the training and development of all new Mercahdise Planners including systems, retail math, forecasing methodologies and statistical analysis tools.
