Daily Duties at Sky Chefs:

During my time with Sky Chefs in Boston I performed as Department Manager of almost all the departments within the unit, all the way from my entry job as a Department Supervisor of Equipment and Sanitation, responsible for the sanitation standards associated with food production and safe delivery. During my time with Sky Chefs in Boston I performed as Swissair Account Manager, Lufthansa Account Manager, Purchasing Department Manager, Director of Customer Service and Transportation Department; Director of Equipment and Sanitation Department and Quality Control Director. 1996 – 2004 LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Quality Control Director in charge of quality assurance and sanitation standards in the Food Production Department. Quality Manager responsible for the Food Production of international carriers such as Lufthansa, Swissair, British Airways, American Airlines and Air Canada. Managing an Executive Chef for international accounts, an Executive Chef for domestic accounts, over 120 food employees and an average of 8500 meals a day. LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Director of the Equipment Processing Department managed and directed airlines equipment flow throughout the catering kitchen: inventory control and customer’s equipment assembly to customer’s specifications including bond products and Duty Free. Responsible for the upkeep of sanitation standards in the Food production area as well as the ware washing and equipment assembly processes. LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Director of Customer Service and Transportation Department; Managing 5 Supervisors and 35 drivers. Responsible for the on time and safe delivery of airline catering materials to domestic and international accounts. Responsible for a fleet of 25 high loading trucks. LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Manager Purchasing Department. Headed a team of three supervisors and a purchasing clerk. Daily, weekly and monthly inventories of all products purchased for the production of meals for the airlines. Managed and controlled food cost, product yields and security. Worked closely with all Managers in charge of international accounts that required the upkeep of several food production cycles a year. LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Manager of the Equipment Processing and Sanitation Department LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Account Manager for Lufthansa Airlines Managed all aspects of the catering process for the airline, including corporate communications with LH Headquarters in Germany. Responsible of monthly billing and menu rotation and equipment inventory. Main responsibility was the quality assurance and adherence to Lufthansa’s high standards in the production of its food cycles. LSG Skychefs Unit Boston Account Manager Swissair. In charge of all aspects related to the catering of Swissair planes, including food and beverage packing at the kitchen. Responsible for all communication with customer at local and international level. Responsible for the adherence to all Swissair’s quality standards, food safety and specifications. LSG Skychefs Boston Unit Supervisor of the Customer Service and Transportation Department.
