Supervised entire plant (fabrication, porcelain and assembly), for the first full year of business. Initial training in Europe including production scheduling and inventory management using SAP (MRP, JIT) Maintained 5S (Sort, Set-In-Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in all areas Established a home location for all tools, materials, and supplies to save time. Cost savings for the company and our customers. Established shadow boards that eliminated the cost of purchasing tools for every setter/operator. Savings of $10,000 per plant. Delegated responsibilities to 15 team leaders, empowering them to work through production associates to reach company goals in each department Directed 36 fabrication associates and 30 assembly associates Responsible for Hydraulic, PLC controlled presses, PLC controlled automated welding line, Eisemann wet and powder coated porcelain application w/ ABB robots and power and free conveyor system, and Siemens Automatic “Smart” assembly line processes. Responsible for scrap and labor budgets. Created spreadsheets and charts to monitor performance in these areas.
