Daily Duties at Precision Quality Services:
Managed a two shift plant operation, comprised of 50+ employees. I was responsible for RFP development, taking into account all fixed and variable cost elements as well as the market rate for similar work. The success of my standardized RFP process not only lead to a 36% increase in our client base, but reduced waste and re-do's of projects as specifications were now very concise. I standardized production processes and work instructions, resulting in an 18% increase in quality and reduced set up time. I headed the customer service function, frequently meeting our customers at their site, to better understand any issues. This experience helped me better guide the sales reps on quoting jobs and understanding the needs of our customers. I scheduled production and defined the work processes for each type of job we were awarded. This would involve careful labor forecasting and allocation of production equipment to meet similtanious project needs. I was also charged with heading the procurement function, which had previously resided with the Managing Partner. I established a bidding structure and specification guidelines for capital purchases and a simple but effective work order system for on-going supply purchases. This helped reduce expenditures by over $8000 in the first six months of implementation.
