Daily Duties at Wilford Hall Medical Center/Sammc:

duties have included but are not limited to pt. assessment, bronchodilator therapies, CPT, EKG, ventilator set up and management, transportation of patients to MRI and C-scan, blood gas draws(ABG, VBG, CBG and A-lines) and analysis, manual Ventilation,documentation, all duties performed at the pediatric and neonatal levels. a large part of my job has been the training of new therapist, management of my individual team, inservices for nursing and instruction for new nurses, ventilation management training for doctors in residenecy and fellowship programs, and staff physician interaction for appropriate pt management in hospital care as well as preparation for home discharge. Training is a large part of my responsibilities. I am involved with teaching of new residents, nurses, and respiratory therapists.
