Daily Duties at Clinical Center Of Sarajevo University, Eye Department:

Management of ophthalmic conditions, taking into account both medical and psychological aspects of patient care; Management of busy general outpatient clinics, emergency eye clinics and specialist clinics, by performing physical exams, Management of ophthalmological disorders using therapeutic procedures, such as laser therapy and intraocular or periocular injections; Management of Glaucoma diagnostic Department Perform procedures as cataract, glaucoma or eyelids surgery Perform Imaging techniques such as Optical Coherence Tomography, including data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation as well as generating oral and written summaries; Collaboration with other specialist, including Diabetologist, neurologist, ENT, maxillofacial surgeons, pediatricians, amongst others; Monitoring and Teaching residents and medical students Communicating and empathizing with patients and family members; Educating patients to understand their medical condition; Supporting health promotion and disease prevention activities; Instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments; Educate patients regarding health and illness prevention; Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs; Provide continuity of patient care Contributing to the development of excellence in clinical practice through working in activities that contribute to education and research; Utilizes research and evidence-based practice to support improvement including but not limited to capacity management; Identifies research opportunities by using scientific inquiry, experience and knowledge . Coaches colleagues on cultural diversity; Progressive involvement in graduate and medical student training programs Presenting papers and research in international meetings
