Sixth Grade Literature and Language Arts Teacher Planned, designed and implemented motivational, as well as, technological approaches to engage students in active learning. Built deeper understanding of written language, vocabulary growth, literary terminology, and application of knowledge using critical thinking. Designed information methods to develop curricular activities while meeting state standards. Piloted new curriculum for writing in Language Arts. Developed and implemented new writing curriculum encompassing state standards. Maintained accurate records of progress and growth regarding student achievement. Actively participated in the Literary Curriculum Development Committee. Middle Grade Computer Science Teacher Designed, planned and implemented technology as needed per grade level and skill level. Designed and developed a working curriculum to teach the Office Suite. Maintained and updated website. Designed, planned and implemented inter-curricular activities at various skill levels using Office. Published an article about students’ use of web pages and PowerPoint to connect with their world. Computer Training for Teachers Designed and planned new and upcoming technology including software for staff at all grade levels. Designed and conducted training sessions to meet the needs of staff with new computer applications Developed and ran a training program for senior citizens on how to use Office Suite
