Daily Duties at Scholarly Pathways, Llc:

• Conducted comprehensive Audit of 11 elementary buildings including a needs analysis to determine if the district has the resources necessary to implement RtI in grades K-5 in Language Arts and Mathematics. This Audit included conducting behavioral interviews with key personnel in the district such as the Superintendent and building Principals. An inventory was taken of all technology including hardware, software, and online subscriptions used for instruction and intervention. All collected data was analyzed and recommendations made which will lead to a Plan for Implementation for the upcoming school year. • Designed courses using Instructional Design techniques such as task analysis, learner analysis, adult learning theories, and the creation of visuals, trainer notes, and participant booklets. • Introduced Journeys Literacy Curriculum in a large geographic school district. • Provided key support for Journey implementation. • Presented at more than 25 districts within one school year. • Employed adult learning theories and techniques to encourage teacher learning and active engagement within the training classroom. • Expanded several accounts by increasing the number of days of service from 27 to 70. • Facilitated full day training for administrators, teachers, and staff in best practices in reading, writing, and math as well as whole group development, Response to Intervention, demo lessons, and coaching. • Coordinated training for newly adopted Common Core State Standards. • Designed courses using Instructional Design techniques such as task analysis, learner analysis, adult learning theories, and the creation of visuals, trainer notes, and participant booklets. • Improved student benchmark DIBELS score by more than 100% in one reporting period by implementing RTII and LETRS training. • Successfully trained administrators, classroom teachers, and specialists in the RTII (Response to Instruction and Intervention) process and its individual components. • Supported administrators, classroom teachers, and specialists as they learned the importance of and administration of each of the DIBELS measures, the correlation between DIBELS and the 5 Big Ideas in Reading, and how to analyze collected data and use that data to make instructional decisions. • Instructed teachers by providing small group modeling and coaching which includes modeling of explicit, systematic, and multi-sensory small group instruction as well as providing individual coaching to teachers on how their small group instruction can be explicit, systematic, and multi-sensory. • Best practices instruction training included the importance of phonological awareness and orthographic awareness as well as the scientifically-based reading research continuum of skills (Phonological and Orthographic).
