Daily Duties at United States Navy:

Provided and maintained the general health and welfare of over 140 crewmen as well as managing over 23 programs relevant to environmental, occupation, industrial and radiological health.Performs diagnostic procedures such as physical examinations to determine illness or injury; advanced first aid procedures including airway managment hemmorhage contol and limb saving techiques such as splinting and immobilization; basic life support including CPR when indicated; nursing procedures like IV initiation and maintainence, medication administation, and wound care; minor surgical procedures such as suturing of wounds, removal of foreign objects from eyes and other body parts and the removal of infected ingrown toenails; basic clinical laboratory procedures such as Rapid Plasma Reagin, urinalysis and Complete Blood Count; Radiation Health Officer trained in the medical aspects of ionizing radiation and the administration of the Personal Dosimetry and Radiation Health Program including the compilation and keeping of exposure records and reports.
