Daily Duties at Providence Health Center:

Review and process,daily, on average, 25 Physician orders involving medical and surgical procedures by ensuring required elements of patient name, date of birth, diagnosis and ICD-9 code, procedure and CPT code and ordering physician signature are on order; placement of reviewed orders into ActiveFax computer que according to procedure or test (i.e., Radiology que, Out patient services que); Contacting the identified health insurance company for the purpose of verifying the existence of a curruent authorization or to obtain a needed authorization for the ordered procedure. Placement of documentation upon the Activepad notation system in the Activfax system; Process direct admission orders from admitting physician by registering patient in hospital sysem, Bed Request ensuring that patient is placed in correct room and bed
