Daily Duties at Siemens Medical Systems:
TECHNICIAN • Under supervision of Senior Technicians, assembled components for electron radiation linear accelerators • Performed alignment of completed accelerators prior to being moved to final test staging area SENIOR TECHNICIAN • As Senior Technician for a leading radiation therapy manufacturer, performed final assembly of complex linear accelerators. Trained technicians to reach senior level and ensured all requirements met FDA and GMP standards. Trained new hires in alignment, quality checks, wiring harnesses, product knowledge (over 500 prefabricated parts) and testing in a team oriented manufacturing area. • Developed a comprehensive understanding of the linear accelerator industry (machine operation, alignment procedures, precise measurements and schematic reading for wiring) in order to lead training groups. • Received multiple awards relative to process improvements. MATERIALS MANAGEMENT • Controlled inventory for radiation therapy equipment that includes computer transactions, supply chain management, monitoring timelines and forecasting based on inventory demands, supplies and shortages.e parts to work orders for preassembled units. • Liaison with buyer / planner to expedite medical equipment supplies and resolve delivery/tracking problems. Update training records and draft written materials such as modifying written procedures, thoroughly detailing movements and documenting project updates.
