Daily Duties at Defense Intelligence Agency:

Promotion to Team Leader. Job Requirement: The primary duties and responsibilities of the team leader is to focus on the ability to encourage a group of individuals to operate as a team; and ensure the well being of the team to enable them to get the job done. Typically the team leader assists the team through knowledge and application of leadership and team building skills and techniques such as group facilitation, coordination, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal communication, consensus-building, planning techniques, integration of work processes and products, obtaining resources and liaison with the supervisor. This enables the team as a whole to deliver improved quality, quantity and timely services and/or work products to the customer. The leader performs work that is usually of the same kind and level as that done by the team led. Together, the team achieves specific tasks, produces work products and services and meets program and productions goals. Accomplish job requirement as well as: Team Leader of four other team members working the Syria country account. Conducting all aspects of intelligence analysis against adversary underground facilities (UGFs) in country, which is an extremely high priority and fast-paced account. Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks, such as conducting all-source intelligence research, writing analytical papers, facility production for database input, formal briefings to customers, and answering RFI (Requests for Information) on specific topics that customer needs in order to plan and make decisions. Make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities ensuring timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks and deadlines met, as well as ensuring each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product. Monitor and keep matrix on the status and progress of work, check on work in progress, and conduct quality control review of completed work to ensure the customer’s needs and requirements are met. Communicate project details and requirements to the team, the completion timeline, and answer all related questions. Using predictive analysis, determine the yearly analytic production plans and strategic research plans for the team aligning with assessment of customer requirements. Produce, present, and report on production schedules and team accomplishments during weekly production meetings with organization. Resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others to supervisor or appropriate management official. Train or arrange for the training of team members on analytic tools, databases, and methodologies in order to accomplish projects. Represent the team in dealings with the supervisor for the purpose of obtaining resources and obtain needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues that arise. Communicate team consensus and recommendations to the supervisor on actions affecting team and individual awards, rewards and recognition. Inform team members of available employee benefits, of flexible work schedules, organizational services, and work related activities. Maintain and prepare records of team member work accomplishments, as well as administrative reference materials, policies, and procedures use by the team.
