Daily Duties at Chicago Public Schools:

• Monitored and managed early literacy abilities by analyzing MCLASS, DIBELS, IDEL, TRC, ISAT, SCANTRON, Achieve 3000 assessments and presenting findings. • Directed Performance Management, Instructional Leadership rounds and Area walk-throughs, gaining indicators of classroom teaching effectiveness through brief classroom visits. • Sharpened literacy teaching skills of teachers by structuring Professional Learning Communities and offering professional development seminars and webinars in Early Literacy, Best Practices in Literacy, Writing, Common Core Standards, Charlotte Danielson, Lucy Calkins, Differentiated Instruction, Balance Literacy. • Provided leadership to schools to create Theory of Action plan. (Richard Elmore) • Demonstrated strong technology acumen by using computers, smart boards, and iPads to develop curriculum and analyze data. • Created and strengthened a thriving professional learning community with teachers and other stakeholders. • Increased ISAT reading scores of students by three to four years by improving pedagogical techniques. • Identified strengths and weaknesses of instruction effectiveness by performing analysis of DIBELS, MCLASS, ISAT, and Reading First data. • Planned and led Instructional Leadership rounds.
