Daily Duties at Virginia College:
•Supervise admissions team of 7 to 12 at a time remaining staff to ensure effective and efficient transfer evaluation and processing of student applications. •Trained and developed new and existing associates to advance to the next level and beyond, coaching daily, exceeding enrollment budgets •Assist in identifying and hiring of new associates •Budget Forecasting and Analysis •Spearheaded the implementation of processes to track, monitor, and increase enrollments for Nursing Program •Oversee supervision of personnel, including work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. •Develop innovative plans to support college’s goals of attracting and retaining an academically talented and diverse student population •Develop and maintain relationships with students and other academic and student affair offices to facilitate communications and cooperative efforts •Participating as a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the school •Work with and organize other departments to ensure overall success of campus (including but not limited to student retention, graduate placement, and professional development) •Conducted and sometimes coordinated student retention efforts across all departments (Admissions, all Academics, Career Services, and Financial Aid); some efforts alongside “Pacific Institute” •Oversee data collection and management functions related to admissions records. •Assist in developing the annual operating budget and provide direction to the department •Coordinate and develop computer systems and projects; recommend and implement information technologies to support and enhance established goals; coordinate the statistical reporting needs of the department; and serve as liaison with college’s computer center with regard to student database applications. •Also responsible for Admissions Associate Duties; determine admissibility for new and readmitted students; classify and place students into appropriate academic units, advising students and families
