Covered day shift, evening shift, weekend shift, and weekend call; prepared patients and explained radiographic examinations; attended to patient needs including making patients comfortable during exams, keeping patients company during long waits, and providing emotional support for nervous or frightened patients; used appropriate technical factors and immobilization devices to create optimal radiographs; inspected radiographs to ensure quality; assisted the radiologist in fluoroscopic procedures such as upper GIs, barium enemas, hysterosalpingograms, and voiding cystourethrograms; operated C-arm during operating room procedures; trained radiography students in positioning, hospital protocols, patient communication, critical thinking skills, evaluation of radiographs, and the use of technical factors; Used RIS, PACS, and DICOM systems to ensure patient information and communicate with Radiologist
