Daily Duties at Novartis Pharmaceuticals:

Responsible for directing sales specialists in meeting and exceeding sales objectives while establishing and launching Novartis in the Psychiatry community as a brand new department.  Established relationships and account contracts with large integrated health systems and hospitals linked to mental health care systems.  Lead specialists in developing actionable business plans for their geographies, participate in the formulation of the National strategy, and prepare for the successful launch of Fanapt in 2010.  Responsible for the hiring, training and development of specialists, performance evaluation and compensation, and effective account targeting and coverage.  Strong ability to work cross-functionally with multiple business units, regional account managers, and the therapeutic business units.  Demonstrated ability to increase sales by facilitating relationships between managed care and state institutions. Maintained customer centric mindset by maintaining contact with key customers in market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.  Controlled expenses to meet budget and to ensure Profit and Loss management while allocating all resources productively.  Ability to direct a balance of direction to specialists on hospital/institution, clinic and private practice routing in order to achieve weekly sales call goals and product growth.
