Daily Duties at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital:
-received, processed,dispensed and counseled on prescriptions obtained by tribal members from the many clinics set up at the hospital in this sovereign nation. -supervised and assisted pharmacy technicians in the use of a robot to fill the prescription orders. -upon completion of a patient's order I would sit down with the patient in an interview setting and dialog with them about each medication and actively listen to their coments and questions. The goal was to acheive understanding of the medication and how it would help them manage their disease state to assure compliance.
