Daily Duties at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics:

• Aided in the development of new products for MicroScan® , including drug formulations, quality control checks, and algorithm confirmations with desired organisms. • Performed Agar/Disk diffusion and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration testing (MIC) for determining antibiotic resistance. • Streaked plates for isolation of organisms and identified organisms based on morphology and using the Autoscan® and Walk-Away® diagnostic machines. • Performed testing to establish robustness of drugs for outer limits and ensured panels adhered to the quality policy of the company and within the CLSI standards for patient safety and correct diagnostics of infection. • Responsible for maintaining lab, microbial strains, database management and temperature charts daily.
