Daily Duties at Gladstone Institutes:
• Analysis of Kynurenine Pathway (KP) in cell and animal models of Huntington and Alzheimer diseases • Pharmacological intervention of this pathway on protein and mRNA level (target identification and validation) • Establishment of novel expression systems in C. Elegans model via Gateway cloning and signaling pathway analysis with mutant genetic interaction • Validation of KP enzyme metabolism and activity • Designed and generated many essential plasmids in varous expression systems through mutagenesis to setup core experimental step for colleagues
