Daily Duties at Xl Global :

• Convert the Business requirements into technical requirement documentation. • Perform analysis, validation on the flat files received from different source systems and integrate the various source systems. • Design ETL Framework, Logging Activity and Error Handling by Interacting with the ETL Integration Consultants and Architects. • Low Level Design Documentation of mapping/ETL Specs for business functionality • Developed Informatica Mappings/transformations/workflows/worklets to pull data from different Source systems and integrate. • Workflow Recovery with mapping build for recovery, Tuning and Error Handling. • Installation, Configuration and administration of Informatica Power Center on Client/Server environment. • Experience in Debugging and Performance Tuning of sources, targets, mappings and sessions. Developed several reusable transformations and mapplets, several workflow tasks • Developed Slowly Changing Dimension Mappings of type II • Fine tune mappings/sessions and collect statistics to identify the anomalies. • Created different transformations for loading the data into targets using various transformations like Source Qualifier, Joiner, Update Strategy, Lookup, Rank, stored procedure etc. • Created reusable transformations and mapplets to use transformation logic in multiple mappings. • Complex mappings creation using various transformation tasks and fine tune. • Build Packages/Procedures/Functions using PL/SQL and performance Tuning. • Worked on Oracle Utilities SQL Loader, UTL_FILE, SMTP, EXPORT, IMPORT, Triggers, EXPLAIN PLAN, Cursors, Views, Materialized Views, Error Handling mechanism etc. • Worked in Exceptional handling, records, arrays, Partitioning of tables, Bulk Collects. • Fine tuning offensive SQL using SQL Trace, Analyze, Explain Plan, and TKPROF. • Shell programming for manipulating the files using AWK and SED. • Evaluated Open source Pentaho Kettle to recommend clients based on its features and usage. • Responsible to deploy the releases according to the project plan. • Provide production support and monitor the loads. • Problem resolution tickets solving and document it. • Write test cases and evaluate test cases for Unit, Integration and system Testing.
