Daily Duties at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center:
Explaining to patients the basic of any medications or procedures that I will be giving, performing or doing to them; give aerosolized bronchodilator medications for patients; give meter-dose inhalers and dry powder inhalers;setting up different oxygen devices for patients to use; working with patients who has sleep apnea, by setting up CPAP machines and putting the machine on the patients; setting up and working with BiPAP machines; setting up and managing mechanical ventilators; taking care of patients on the mechanical ventilators; drawing arterial bloods from the radial or brachial arteries; analyzing and understanding the results of the arterial blood that is drawn from the patient; working with pediatric and adult patients and caring for their conditions;assist other healthcare workers in codes situtation ( ex. code blue or stroke code..etc.) working with the computer EPIC system as the main form of documentation; protocol treatments based on the Respiratory Care Protocol rules.
