Daily Duties at Bartlett Nuclear:

Responsibilities: • Perform radiological surveys on the primary, secondary, auxiliary systems, plant or site buildings and grounds. • Provide contamination and dose control. • Track radiation exposure for personnel and work tasks. • Determine methods to reduce radiation exposure. • Provide radiation protection coverage for work tasks. • Establish worker stay times. • Establish radiological work requirements. • Maintain laboratory quality control. • Perform instrument calibration and operation. • Respond to off normal conditions. • Maintain radiation exposures ALARA. • Maintain radiation exposures within limits. • Maintain respiratory protection program. • Radiologically post areas as required. • Respond to off normal radiological conditions. • Understand adverse radiological conditions on equipment and personnel Performing Radiological job coverage, conducting RWP briefs, Gamma Spectroscopy using ISCOS detectors, Waste Evaluation for U-235 content, Statistical Bias and Uncertainty measurements, Guardian III bulk surveys, Criticality Alarm testing and operation, Excavation and trenching operations, unrestricted release surveys, Gamma Walkover Surveys & radiological job coverage. Environmental technician; soil, surface water, vegetation, and sediment sampling and analysis.
