•Prepared a detailed VSOE analysis to review discounts and non-standard pricing to ensure VSOE compliance and proper revenue recognition for maintenance, training and consulting •Established internal monitor control procedures to ensure VSOE compliance and proper revenue recognition •Worked on integrating the Packeteer VSOE model into Blue Coat’s VSOE model post acquisition •Provided pricing and item setup support to the product management Team •Reviewed customer contracts, purchase orders and booking packages for potential revenue recognition issues and ensuring that revenue is recorded accurately and on time, based on SOP 97-2 •Drove process improvement and maintenance of the VSOE function •Prepared journal entries, carve outs and account reconciliations related to revenue recognition at month and quarter end •Worked with Sales to approve NSP deals and its impact on revenue •Worked with sales, order Management & legal with booking and contract issues to ensure proper revenue recognition •Interacted with external and internal auditors during quarterly audits and on technical issues
