Daily Duties at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center:
Assess the needs of patients and their families in order to develop a plan of care that would best provide the education needed to establish goals appropriate for them. Provide edcuation to patients and their families on effectively managing diabetes. Participate in the development of and teach of group classes. Participate in Pursuing Perfection adn Performance Improvement Councils. Chair of Performance Improvement Council 2006-2007. Pursuing Perfection and Self Management Committee - assist in the develpment and implementation of Self Management of ketones and sick day guidelines. Assist in the planning and implementation of programs for colleagues and other health care professionals in the community Assist in the teaching of residents and endocrine fellows Inservice staff on other units in the care and education of diabetes patients
