Daily Duties at Various Consulting Partnerships:

Detailed Skill-set/Duties and Typical Responsibilities: • Develops and implements the Project Management business development plans and activities. • Oversees the goals and focus of a Project Manager team or function providing direction and guidance. • Ensures that services are delivered to the highest standards and in accordance with best practices. • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies. • Ensures practice delivers superior solutions to clients. • Provides senior level resolution to client issues. • Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change. • Manages the strategic aspects of large engagements and mitigates risks. • Oversees senior managers and managers working on client engagements within the PM practice. • Ensures engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all practice engagements. • Provides leadership while underscoring ethics • Develops, implements, and maintains sound business practices • Champions delivery of constructive expertise at all aspects of project • Reviews project financials including PSR’s, updates monthly and identifies any potential issues review/action. • Reports profit and loss figures, as required. • Consolidates and analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across practice, as required. • Addresses and resolves all billing issues, as required. • Develops and meets revenue and other financial goals for practice. • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization across practice. • Manages the negotiation of contract pricing when necessary. • Takes a lead role in monitoring the identification and development of strategic accounts, as required. • Grows -- and maintains -- long-term relationships with clients and key consultants to capitalize on equity and partnership opportunities. • Maintains awareness of new and emerging industry practices and the potential application on client engagements. • Effectively communicates relevant practice information to ownership. • Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.
