Daily Duties at General Dynamics Corporation, Information Technology Division:

Program Manager (Federal Highway Administration Contract) Performed as Program Manager of General Dynamics’ account on the Federal Highway Administration Federal Information Technology Support Services Program (FHWA FITSS) as a subcontractor to INDUS Corporation. Program Management responsibilities included managing and monitoring a budget with 8 million dollar in revenue using Cost Point, supervising a staff of (96), presenting program reviews using PM Reports, reviewing invoices and ensuring funding for sub-tasks. Actively assisted with recruiting and hiring of staff for new positions on the program, screening resumes and candidates as well as processing offers. Served as liaison between the customers FHWA management, the primary contracting company INDUS and contract staff. Ensured contract service level agreements were met with monthly reports and maintained company ISO standard documentation.. Directly supervised (3) team leads and (52) field staff members. Worked with Help Desk Manager to report to FHWA Management on Help Desk performance and management of tickets (in Remedy), as well as reported on the timely resolution of issues/tickets (including Tier 3 tickets), and followed-up on Priority One tickets. Oversaw enterprise migrations/projects costing, network planning, technical reporting, and disaster recovery planning. Participated in implementation of security measures including change control, patch deployment and virus scanning management. Coordinated implementation of new technologies within an enterprise environment of File and Print services in Netware 6.0, Active Directory 2000 and email services in Exchange 2000/2003. Assisted with planning and implementation of the migration from GroupWise to Microsoft Exchange for FHWA’s 3000 user environment nationwide. Managed the implementation of Novell GroupWise 5.5 & 6.0, Novell Netware 6.x, Microsoft Exchange 2000, and Disaster Recovery planning for the FHWA Headquarters Facility.
