Daily Duties at Gatlin Detention Center/Mecklenburg County Sheriff Department :
Facilitated, development and implemented center programs and activities in a 24-hour jail. Duties consisted of assessing the cognitive state of inmates and provided ongoing counsel. Assisted with the need for behavioral change, implement crisis intervention and made placement recommendations and continual educational coaching as it relates to Youth Offenders as well as adults. Utilize reality therapy sociological awareness concepts to better understand inmate’s cognitive behavior. Read and comprehend legal and non-legal documents including the processing of such documents as medical instructions, commitments, release orders, summons, and other documents. Continued with maintaining databases/information for OMS system and make sure that they are up to date and run smoothly
