Daily Duties at Winkelman's:
Maintained responsibility for the overall daily operations of a retail store. Supervised, scheduled, hired, trained, promoted, and disciplined personnel. Managed budgets, marketing, merchandising, and rotating inventory of stock.Ensured proper handling of daily receipts, balanced registers and bank accounts, prepared and made deposits. Responsible for personnel management, merchandise selection and presentation and store operations. Maximized sales and profitability of assigned areas through execution of company programs. Trained and supervised 100 full and part time personnel. Worked directly with vendors to confirm and verify shipments.Ensured excellence in customer service and resolved all problems at the store level. Worked with store managers to ensure merchandise changes aligned with sales patterns.
