Daily Duties at St. Vincent & Sarah Fisher Center:
I was responsible for overseeing a variety of professional projects that provided direct services to socially and economically disadvantaged youth who were in the state and foster care system. Developed plans to help teens with resilience: Youngsters had problem with self-esteem and getting along with peers. I created a focus group that would assist consumers with societal skills, the approach was effective. The liaisons approved amongst the group. I completed weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, communicated effectively with supervisor, staff, youth, Juvenile Court, Police, and Department of Human Services; Children ran away from the institution, tried to harm themselves, or peers. I was able to work with unions to resolve the escalated situation. The child/children return successfully to institution unharmed. I Supervised staff of 20, plus youth specialist, concerning home-life therapeutic activities for the neglected youth. The objectives were to assist the consumers with enhancements, procedures, and education. The clients needed assisted with necessities. The employees provided consumers with reassurance concerning their obstacles, the optimism improved in the institution.
What they like about St. Vincent & Sarah Fisher Center:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
