Daily Duties at Medco/Express Scripts:
• Conduct office visits/luncheons with prescriber offices to discuss the use of preferred drug list (PDL) in efforts to control cost to both the patient and the plan • Initiate outbound calls to prescriber offices to discuss the use of preferred drug list (PDL) • Integral member of a PDL clinical team which provides clinical consultation to patients on the use, dosage, side effects and therapeutic incompatibles • Prepare and present training concerning disease states and the medications used to treat to employees at plan sponsor corporations • Assist marketing team with the development and production of videos/tools to distribute to potential clients • Primary pharmacist consultant for Commonwealth of Virginia and a major benefit plan in the state of North Carolina • Extensive experience implementing formulary coverage reviews and prior authorizations (PA's) • Order Entry of faxed/verbal prescriptions following managed care interchanges
