Daily Duties at Welch Allyn:
Managed the day to day activities for 7 sales representatives for all Welch Allyn products including hardware and software relating to wireless centralized monitoring, clinician notification, Partners in Care Clinical and Biomedical service solutions and EMR integration solutions. Make sales calls with sales reps in the field to verify market penetration and performance to plan. Provide coaching, mentoring and performance management to individual sales reps on an as needed bases. Assign sales quotas on an annual basis and MBOs (Major Business Objectives) on a quarterly basis to insure skills development and successful performance within each territory. Develop and present an annual business plan to senior management with update presentations on a quarterly basis. Assist sales representatives with the development of individual sales plans and attend quarterly update meetings with each rep. Assign annual sales quotas for each territory within the region. Meet on a quarterly basis with key distributors to provide sales updates. Conduct annual business reviews with key IDNs to verify compliance to national accounts contracts. Negotiate contracts with hospitals to increase sales. I successfully negotiated a contract with a major IDN in the midwest in 1995 by increasing discounts on existing contracted products in return for the addition of disposable blood pressure cuffs and diagnostic sets to the contract. The result was in increase in annual sales from $300,000 in 2005 to 1,200,000 in 2009. Conduct key C level presentations to major accounts within the region. Manage and track travel and expense budget for the entire region. Responsible for $30M in annual sales for 7 territories. Interviewed and hired 3 sales reps in the north central region.
