Daily Duties at Wendel Duchscherer Architects & Engineers:

 Responsible for developing proposals based on client Request for Proposals. Proposals included identifying project intent, client concerns and obstacles and developing detailed scope of work and budget based on client’s needs.  Developed and maintained client relationships.  Communicated directly with client in all phases of the project, from initial project start up to submission of documents to appropriate agencies / authorities for approval.  Collaborated with NYSERDA Project Managers in the Peak Load Reduction, CIPP, ResTech, and FlexTech Programs.  Interfaced with NYPA’s Energy Services program.  Identified and developed emerging market strategies in the energy field.  Developed a business plan with action steps to identify market penetration, technical feasibility objectives, goals, and risk management associated with new markets.  Researched available state and federal funding for renewable energy projects.  Oversaw business development of renewable energy markets, with focus on biomass fuel conversions and CHP opportunities.  Maintained budgets and timelines based on established scopes of work.  Managed the project team as a resource in problem solving and ensuring project moved forward with minimal issues and oversaw development of energy studies and contract bid documents on energy performance projects.  Performed detailed engineering analysis, develop studies and reports. Responsible for development of construction bid documents.  Participated as part of a team with designers and coordinated with other disciplines in development of project bid documents.  Collaborated directly with equipment manufacturers representatives and controls companies in developing control strategy, sequencing and interfacing as required to meet project objectives.  Oversaw and mentored mid-level and junior staff. Perform QA / QC for design and energy studies.
