Daily Duties at Us Airways:

 Manage the airline’s insurance program which includes an annual combined total of 2,000 general liability, auto liability and property claims.  Manage, direct and train staff of 4 claims specialists.  Collaborate with airline’s insurance carrier, in-house and outside counsel with the investigation, evaluation and resolution of claims and litigation.  Coordinate the placement and renewal of the airline’s liability, aircraft hull, property, crime, automobile and OCIP commercial insurance policies.  Provide underwriting data to the insurance broker and provide updated information throughout the policy period.  Review and provide comments on all leases and agreements to ensure insurance and indemnification provisions are suffice.  Monitor the performance of the insurance carrier and outside counsel to ensure all claims and lawsuits are handled appropriately.  Respond to catastrophic airline accidents by providing financial assistance to victims and their families.
