Daily Duties at Ywca Of Bergen County:

YWCA Bergen County I was hired to be the Program Director for the Rape Crisis Center. Hired to develop & institute new risk management procedures since prior to my hire, the previous director had violated some pretty serious ethics. Tasks • Oversaw daily organizational operations, strategic planning, fiscal management, grants administration, staff training and development, recruitment and volunteer coordination. • Developed new policies, procedures & regulations that integrated risk management & quality assurance best practices in center operations, and contributed to organizational excellence. • Developed departmental strategic and operational plan and was responsible for meeting all timelines, goals and objectives. • Managed 4 full-time staff and 30-40 center volunteers. • Designed & presented a 40-hour advocacy training program (including trainer’s guide, workbook, videos and other course materials) to establish a consistent knowledge base among staff and volunteers 3 x per year. • Successfully coordinated, built and oversaw the county’s first large-scale Coalition for Sexual Assault Perpetrator Prevention, and recruited 75+ highly diverse community stakeholders. • Developed and implemented a Community Education Plan o Conducted 20-40 community educational workshops on a variety of topics to national, state, and local audiences. o Conducted 25 sexual violence trainings to students and faculty at 7 local colleges & universities. o Conducted sexual violence prevention trainings in 30 schools. Interfaced with judicial, medical and legal systems to ensure continuum of care and compliance with state standards.
