Daily Duties at Accenture, Llp At Best Buy:

This was a continuation of my role as System Engineer at Best Buy. Responsible for life cycle management of 1200+ X86 technology based servers (physical and virtual). Management of the decommission process of 400+ servers returned on lease or sent to auction which resulted in savings to company on excess hardware and overdue leased equipment rentals. Tracked and worked to drive initiatives such as NT4.0 elimination. Core member of 4.4 Server Consolidation projects to create a shared server environment to reduce the physical devices. Involved work in the two data centers including racking, unracking, hardware replacement and basic cabling. On-call support engineer for Corporate Server issues –rotating schedule (Tier II and III). Addressed as primary engineer for escalation of issues reported or found by L2 Wintel Server Team. (Tier III). Provided direction to L2 Wintel Engineers to resolve issues or used remote software to resolve issues directly on the server or cluster as needed. Administrator access to all Corporate Servers including Exchange, Active Directory, servers located in DMZ environments, SQL Cluster servers, Microsoft Messaging Servers, Web servers and Citrix.
