Daily Duties at Cno Financial Group:

• Reporting to Sr. Project Manager, involved in setting up the offshore team to cater to the offshore development needs of the BLC Marketing system, • Working closely with AVP, Sr. Project Managers to set the project on smooth sailing, to define and implement strategies for smooth project execution, • Working closely with SMEs, US Clients to guide the projects for successful completion, • Involved in Project Planning, Resource Planning, Estimating, Developing Schedules, • Involved in Tracking Schedules, Performing Quality Check, Managing risks, issues and change control of project in terms of scope, schedule, cost and quality, • Led Project team to diagnose and overcome barriers to project progress, • Involved in Planning, Estimation, Allocation, Tracking of work for the release work, • Prepared the checklists for analysis, coding, testing, deployment, estimation models, Unit Test results Framework to ensure smooth development and delivery of application change requests for releases, • Involved in analyzing requirements, Communicating with Business Users, Subject Matter Experts, Performing Analysis, Impact Analysis, Preparing Understanding document, Tech Specs, • Involved in Allocating Writing of Programs, JCLs, online screens, Unit Test Plan, • Involved in Tracking the progress of Application Change Request, Peer Review and Testing of Deliverables, Preparing Unit Test Results, • Involved in the Co-ordination of UAT Testing, Filling of SAFE (Enterprise Repository for Release Management) forms for Code Promotion to System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Production Environments, • Involved in Endevor Code Preparation, Movement of Elements from one stage to another in Endevor Environments, Package Creation, Casting, Promotion of Package to different Environments, Stages, • Performing Capacity Planning to identify and accept the no of changes for the release, • Negotiating Release contents, Prod Dates with the customer, • Involved in planning, coordination and support Enterprise software releases, coordination and development of processes, • Involved in analyzing the Application Information documents to document the system design, flow, • Performing System Study and providing presentations, • Resolve internal and external conflicts to bring adherence to project schedule, budget, • Perform Risk Planning, Mitigation, • Implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans for the project, • Develop common understanding of project timelines, milestones and reporting to align project stakeholders and team members. • Plan projects to accomplish goals within time, cost, and agreed quality standards. • Establish project budgets and maintain expectations. • Define and document resource estimation, project scope, return on investment and develop and maintain a project plan that lists milestones, resources, dependencies and target dates. • Execute implementation plan and monitor progress, perform project review and create summary document to include standard operating procedures. • Assess business needs, define functional requirements, research and evaluate business opportunities, systems and software to meet the business needs. • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues. • Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members. • Performing Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Preparing Understanding docs, Tech Specs, • Performing Estimations, Prioritization,Task Allocation, Tracking, • Resource Monitoring, Agile Management, • Quality Assurance and Testing of programs, • Performing User Acceptance Testing, Delivering software to end-users, • Guiding the development of programs, testing throughout the SDLC, • Performing Endevor Packaging and promoting code through production pipeline, • Performing Production Support, Software Desk Tickets Resolution, • Evaluating CRM, Enterprise Vendor Packages, Recommending Solutions, • Working with sr. technical design team, • Performed system study for the 2 subsystems (ACS, PAL) of the BLC Marketing, • Gave Demo of the CICS subsystem for PAL, • Mentoring junior resources to understand the application and prepare for the offshoring work, • Preparing production support team, • Conducting Team meetings, client conferences, • Allocating work, following up, reviewing and delivering using agile methodology, • Co-ordinating Knowledge Transfer Sessions with the SMEs from BLC Marketing, Infosys conducted from offshore via conference calls, • Co-ordinating the preparation of Reverse KT Sessions with the client, • Conducting additional analysis to update the Application Knowledge Documents, • Conducting programming analysis to acquire system knowledge, prepare Inventory Analysis documents, • Guiding the collection of Inventory of Programs, • Guiding the analysis of System Flow, Online Flow, Batch Flow Information, • Analyzing, Gathering, Preparing Tools, • Managing team of 20 or more members to perform smooth system knowledge acquisition.
