Night shift charge nurse -assessed staffing and patient assignment issues -assissted with admissions and codes Transport team coordinator -managed a 14 member team of nurses trained to accompany critically ill infants from community hospitals to our unit -organized inservices for new transport equipment -published the transport coverage schedule each month -worked closely with the lead respiratory therapist to plan and teach annual transport education day -liason for SMC NICU working with AMR -instumental in getting dedicated drivers for our baby car reducing our response time to community hospitals -outreach teaching at community hospitals to improve stabilization for babies needing transport Bedside nursing care
