Daily Duties at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center (Hhc):
Manage all departmental operations to ensure compliance with managed care guidelines and the Medical Center’s regulatory standards and protocols, including JCAHO Quality Assurance requirements. 1. recruit, hire, and, train professional and clerical support staff- 20 staff members 2.develop and implement performance improvement systems to improve access to primary care physician and stream line referral process: a. estalished a 24 hour nurse telephone triage unit to be in compliance with timely urgent care, other type of appointments appointments to PCP, use apportunity to educate managed care patients on how to navigate thier HMO. b. developed and implemented audit /monitoring review tool to ensure triage unit is responding appropriately. a. had my staff spuratically act as a patient and schedule appt for PCP nd specialty clinic. if any nurse failed CAP was requested. I or my staff would re- eucate or find out out if is a scheduling from generating fom the clinic. 3. trouble shoot between MCO and physicians, MCO and members:when I initially took the leadership role I established monthly meeting with PCPs, and other clinic staff including nurses to discuss their issues and .. scheduling, retrival of medical records, documentations, attitudes with patients( negative attitude toward patients was not tolerated). •initiated and directed managed care educational workshops to communicate managed care patients on how t navigate the system and workshop for PCPs to reduce thier stress leve ith managed care requirements • track, trend, analyze and maintain managed care enrollments/membership status I and my team developed and implement HMO member retentions programs, • developed and led internal audits and corrective action plan follow ups. • co-chair interdepartmental meetings to address current and potential managed care compliance related issues.
