Daily Duties at City Of Ny Department Of Health & Mental Hygiene(Dohmh):
Established and maintained an active relationship between Take Care New York Partnerships city wide and DOHMH to educate community and significantly improving the health of all New Yorkers. using internet search engine for all the community health center, churches, hospitals through out the 5 boroughs. Supervised 3 staff memeber. 1. gave list to my volunteer and directed her to create a Grid in Excel entering all pertinent information I requested in order to be able to track which sites our office has contacted, the outcomefor each site , and followup for each site then, I would go out on the field and sell/market The Take Care NY Program, persuading community leaders to become a Partner wth NYSDOH initiative to keep New York Healthy. we started with 50 Partners and when I left the Program a year latter we had 190 memembers. In the proess of tracking our initiatives such as smoking cessation, colonoacoy screening sesions, etc.. I iniated nd with IT department created an ACCESS data base which made entering information, tracking and generating reports much easier. designed and implemented an Access Database Management system to enter, track and retrieve pertinent information. serve as a liaison to TCNY Partners to ensure access to DOHMH technical assistance on a range of activities . follow up with request for technical assistance relating to TCNY partner activities, and provide the necessary tools to help the organization take action. deliver presentations on TCNY Program to potential TCNY partners to promote the goals of the health policy of NYC. coordinate workshops relating to TCNY partner activities. develop and implement topic specific Take Care New York. establish relationships and technical assistance support between the organizations and the specific DOHMH programs.
